Hey all, I am very new to VO. I actually no experience in VO, however I am a classically trained actor with several years of experience and have been looking to move my career towards VO. I am very curious about Edge Studios and their Investigate Voice Over Class and am wondering if any of you have any experience with them? Mostly I am curious as to whether or not it will be a worthwhile investment, if they are merely in the business of “selling dreams,” or if I should practice on my own and seek out freelance work to begin my career?

I’d like to reply to your question concerning Edge studio, specifically are they in the business of selling dreams.
My background before voiceovers was that of a Program & Promotion Director for five network affiliates, as well as 12 years producing promotional and training films for fortune five hundred companies. Frequently asked to voice projects, I began training remotely with Edge in 2005 and returned to my Native NYC for a three day masterclass. I have attended online seminars as recently as 2020 as a refresher and I have to say I have always found David and Edge instructors to be exceptional. They provide the truth about the business, not the hype and the get rich quick schemes.
