why hello! So I was posting my sample reads for the first time, and I didn’t know that m4a’s were not acceptable formats on here. So I clicked the edit button, made some specific changes to my text, and also re-uploaded the newly converted files. Um, so after I submitted it, it still has the old post up with the old unaccessible files and without the new text I added. BONUS, the edit button disappeared. Do I just try again on a completely new post? Or do I have to wait it out? Either way, this is frustrating. 🙁

Hi there. I have made a couple of attempts at uploading for feedback. My first attempt….received format error. My second attempt (mp3 format) also received a format error. Anyone have a solution for this? I don’t want to attempt a 3rd post without some guidance since I am not able to delete my posts.

Just from my experience I have tried both. For photography I went to a professional to do my headshot after I went to a “Budget” one and they did not turn out the way I wanted. As for the website I have used a couple different ones, even though I have done all my websites myself. Started with GoDaddy which is not to bad but the website that you can build there is limited unless you pay more for a different plan. I recently switched over to Hostinger. You have a couple different ways to go there … wordpress or their A.I. I tried their A.I one which is pretty customizable and that is what I currently have working. In the background I am working on a site with wordpress which is what I will go with but I am just taking my time with that one to get it exactly how I want it. Hope that helps. Evening Edge Studio students and awesome people, I’m looking for feedback on how my reading is.
1. How was my pace
2. Did it sound conversational?
3. Anything other insight would be appreciated-
Adam, nice voice for this kind of thing. I would just suggest that you put quite a lot more energy into it. Really make the listener invest themselves in the subject. Push the volume of the speaking to more conversational levels, and find the words that make you excited about the subject and really get behind them. As for pace: good. Conversational: ok. Sometimes a script isn’t written like we speak, and that makes it a bit more difficult. But the recording space sounds great, and the noise floor is good. One more thing, watch the leading ‘F’ sound. It kinda squeaks on you much like it does me…:).
Looking forward to hearing more of your work.
